a friend to be killed by

I could go on and on and on and on. I could fill post after post, using millions upon millions of terabytes and employ every damn word from the Oxford English Dictionary – twice – and still not get it properly across.

I could talk about how she’s my friend, one of my best friends. I could talk about how she’s one of the few people in the world I would drop everything for. I could talk about my favorite breakfast in recent memory involving vegan chocolate-chip pancakes, coffee, and our pjs.

I could talk about how I much I’ve missed her since I moved from Cleveland.

I could talk about how wonderfully weird she is, how wonderfully sensitive and honest, and how wonderfully smart she is. I could talk about her individualistic attitude and her razor-sharp but still common-sense feminist instincts. I could talk about how much I admire her for all these things.

Instead, I’ll tell you the one thing that matters the most:

This woman has changed my life in the best of ways.

From the music I love to the comfort I feel in knowing she’s my friend, my life is different for her being a part of it.

And, really, what else are we here for?

And so, Adored Readers, hop on over and say happy birthday to Lindy Loo. She is THE AWESOME in many, many ways.
